The competing teams are referred to as the Blue Teams. Each Blue Team functions as if it were a company IT department and carries out a number of tasks. Besides the Blue Teams there are three other teams that are necessary for the competition, two of which need volunteers. A short description of each of team and its status is given below.
The Red Team consists of individuals highly skilled in cyber attack. Their task is to create as much havoc as possible for the Blue Teams. This team is close to being completely recruited. If you are very skilled in the area of cyber attack and would like to participate on this team, please contact George Markowsky (firstname.lastname@example.org or 207-581-3940).
The White Team consists of individuals with a strong background in information technology. Each Blue Team is assigned two members of the White Team who monitor the Blue Team they are assigned to. Their primary job is to act as management for each Blue Team. They also monitor the competition rooms to ensure that the rules of the competition are being followed. Since we have a capacity of 10 Blue Teams for this competition we are looking for about 30 volunteers for the White Team. At this time there are still quite a few vacancies. If you have a strong IT background and would like to participate on this team, please contact George Markowsky (email@example.com or 207-581-3940).
The Black Team consists of individuals highly skilled in networking and infrastructure. Their task is to build and monitor the competition network. For obvious reasons, this team is composed of people from the University of Maine System. There are no further openings on this team.
